CanoDeck & CanoFence 5 Year Limited Warranty
Terms, Conditions & Limitations


1. The CanoDeck or CanoFence system must be installed by an approved Installer following currently approved installation methods @ www.canocoating.com.

2. Owner shall notify Cano Coatings (the Manufacturer) and the Installer in writing of the need for any repairs covered herein promptly upon discovery, and repairs shall commence within a reasonable period of time after receipt of notice.

If there is a failure of theCanoDeck or CanoFence system within the scope of this warranty CANO agrees to repair or replace, at it’s option, the affected portion of the;CanoDeck or CanoFence system with the same (or similar) color, or grade of material. CANO shall under no circumstances be liable for damage to the building or the contents of the building arising out of contract, tort or other action. No implied warranties extend beyond the term of this written warranty. No representative has the authority to make any representations other than those stated herein.

To the extent allowed by the laws of each Province, State or Territory, the remedies provided under this warranty state the limitations of Cano Coatings’ responsibility.

This warranty shall not be applicable to damage or loss caused in whole or part by: natural disasters, including but not limited to lightening, hail, floods, earthquakes; acts of vandalism, terrorism, negligence, misuse, abnormal usage or abuse; repairs or alteration to the deck without written approval; settling, warping, or the failure of the structure to which theCanoDeck or CanoFence system is attached; problems arising from improper preparations of the substrate or the materials used in the construction of such surface, including the use of OSB board; infiltration of condensation or moisture in, through, around, or above, the deck or walls; Use of material , in whole or in part, not approved by Cano Coatings, to be used in conjunction with, or as a substitute for, the CanoDeck system; ponding water caused by inadequate slope, improperly positioned drains, or settling of the building or decking structure; failure of the structure to prevent ingress of wind, vapor diffusion, or precipitation onto the system; spreading of bacteria, growth of mold, or fungus; and when product freezes or is installed at an overnight ambient temperature of 5 degrees Celsius or less.

CANO
warrants the water proofing of the coating for five years.

This warranty is limited to the price of replacement materials and installation cost, on a declining scale of 20% per year, which shall be at no cost to the owner. (1st year 100%, 2nd year 80%, 3rd year 60%, 4th year 40%, 5th year 20%)

Manufacturer reserves the right to deny warranty coverage if a warranty claim is not made within a reasonable timeframe after defect is discovered.

Any defect must be immediately reported to the Installer; failure to do so may void the warranty.

The foregoing is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied including merchantability and fitness for use.

For new construction, homeowner must provide Cano Coatings a copy of the Grade Certificate prior to any work commencing; Failure to do so may void the warranty.

This warranty does not cover appearance problems such as fading, staining or discolorations resulting from but not limited to: weathering; pedestrian traffic; misuse, neglect, hydrostatic pressure, fungus or bacterial growth; biodegradable matter; problems due to inadequate slope; improperly positioned drains, or buildings and deck structures settling which results in ponding water; or nails and screws, or any fastening devices which become visible.

The following items are not the responsibility of Cano Coatings or the Installers during the repair or re-coating process; Removal and replacement of siding, stucco, railings, hot tubs, planters, furniture, carpet, cladding or any other materials either permanently or temporarily attached to the CanoDeck system.

Cleaning the deck or fence; replacement of the CanoDeck or CanoFence system or recoating may require the application of a sealer. It is the responsibility of the Owner to provide a clean surface of the existing CanoDeck system for maximum adhesion of the repaired surface.

Color matching of the product or products required for repair.

CANO
and the Installer reserve the right to suspend their obligations under this warranty if ALL bills for installation supplies and services have not been paid in FULL. Proof of purchase and payment must be presented to obtain warranty coverage.

The warranty is offered by both CANO and the Installer. CANO is responsible for any materials related problems. The undersigned Installer is responsible for the workmanship and will facilitate any necessary repairs.

The Installer guarantees the work has been performed in accordance with the most current standards and specifications set out by CANO and is responsible for any workmanship related problems for the period of __________________ years.

The Installer may offer an additional written warranty stating the scope of their responsibility
